Schoolchildren from Gennadi visit
With several bags of dog food in their luggage, 39 children from Gennadios Primary School and their teachers visited the municipal animal shelter in Rhodes.
The children were well informed in advance and were shown the dogs in the kennels and runs.
Naturally, the children asked many questions, which the head of the animal shelter, George Kritikos, and his vet friend Costas were happy to answer.
The main topic was the solution to the problem of reducing the number of stray, wild dogs by neutering them.
The children's visit to the animal shelter was very important, because we must continue to sensitise future generations. This is the only way we can get the animal welfare problem of uncontrolled animal breeding under control in the long term.
We would like to thank everyone who took part in this campaign for their help.
