From darkness to light - Elpida's second chance

Elpida was found all alone on the street. The first photo clearly shows her condition: completely blind, with severe skin problems and covered in ticks and fleas. She was also suffering from ehrlichiosis, a tick-borne disease.

She was treated immediately upon admission. Elpida is about 8-9 years old and was very frightened at the time.

After her treatment was completed, a tumour was also removed. Today she lives in a loving foster home, is happy, relaxed and in very good condition. The latest photos show how well she is doing now.
