From July 18, 2023, several fires break out on Rhodes, which quickly escalate into a major fire due to the persistent drought. Initially, only a few villages inland are affected, but strong winds quickly drive the flames to the east coast between Lindos and Gennadi.

 

During the days of the fire, George Kritikos was constantly on the move to rescue abandoned dogs and injured wild animals from death by fire. There will be over 100 of them in the end.

 

The film not only tells the story of people who are in danger while on vacation, but also of the helpfulness and fighting spirit of the local population.​​
